    Transfer to the airport and flight to Diego Suarez. Welcome and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, we discover the city and its cosmopolitan population: the city centre with its colonial-style buildings, its multicoloured market, its port in the Bay of Diego famous for its sugar bread, sacred island or traditional ceremonies (fijoroana).

    In the morning, departure for a day of excursions. From Sakalava Bay, hiking excursion along the coast through the bay of dunes, pigeons to reach the cape miné, former bastion of the French colony with its guns and fortifications. Then we reach Raména, a small fishing village with its traditional boats lined up on the beach which is always animated by the inhabitants of Diego who come to swim there.

    Change of scenery. After 1 hour of driving we enter the humidity of the forest of the Amber Mountain Park. Due to its altitude, the mountain benefits from a tropical microclimate characterized by high precipitation. We can observe various animal species of the lemurs crowned with the smallest chameleon in the world. Hiking excursion on well marked trails. A short visit of Joffre Ville in the afternoon and return at the end of the day.

    Early in the morning, departure by vehicle to reach the Ankarana Park south of Diego Suarez, another site still as spectacular as ever in Madagascar. On foot, we cross the massif by a well-tracked path to discover the "bat cave" and its impressive stalactites, stalagmites and limestone organs. Discovery of some lemurs such as Eulemur coronatus and Lepilemur septentrionalis, some carnivores such as Galidia elegans and Cryptoprocta ferox, or various birds such as the Flycatcher or the Petit Duc de Madagascar..... Lunch along the way.

    Breakfast. Hiking in the reserve, we discover the impressive caves of the massif and their underground river that lead to lush canyons of vegetation. We will be able to observe lemurs and bats coming out of the caves at sunset to look for their food. Overnight in a bivouac.

    Breakfast. Departure in the morning to reach the asphalt road and Ambilobe, the capital of the region. Crossing some cocoa plantations, coffee, ylang ylang... Lunch along the way. At the end of the day, we arrive in Ankify, by the sea. Dinner and overnight in a bungalow.
