The north is the region of contrasts where the mountain and the sea, the savannah and the tropical forest mix. From the Amber Mountain reserve drowned in the primary forest, from the coast that shelters the bay of dunes, pigeons, pebbles, emeralds….. from the massif Ankanana formed of “Tsingy” to the island of Nosy Bé, it is a subtle mixture of landscapes of climate and perfumes.

    Departure for a day of excursions.     Change of scenery. After 1 hour of driving we enter the humidity of the forest of the Amber Mountain Park. Due to its altitude, the mountain benefits from a tropical microclimate characterized by high precipitation. We can observe various animal species of the lemurs crowned with the smallest chameleon in the world. Hiking excursion on well marked trails. A short visit of Joffre Ville in the afternoon and return at the end of the day.

    In the morning, drive to Ankarana Park south of Diego Suarez. On foot, we cross the massif by a well-tracked path to discover the "bat cave" and its impressive stalactites, stalagmites and limestone organs. Discovery of lemurs such as Eulemur coronatus and Lepilemur septentrionalis and various birds such as the Flycatcher or the Rainforest scops owl of Madagascar... Dinner and overnight in a bush hotel.

    Departure in the morning to reach the asphalt road and Ambilobe, the capital of the region. Crossing some cocoa plantations, coffee, ylang ylang... Lunch along the way. At the end of the day, we arrive in Ankify, by the sea. Dinner and overnight in a bungalow.

    Departure by boat from the beach for a day trip to Nosy Komba: visit the lemur reserve, its village with its craft market: embroidered tablecloths at the Richelieu point, seed necklace, lamba (pareos)... We continue on Nosy Tanikely and its marine reserve. Swimming in crystal clear blue water and snorkeling to observe its multicolored fish and numerous corals. Transfer to Nosy Be at the end of the day.

    Departure by boat for an excursion to Nosy Iranja or Turtle Island: the island is made up of two small islands connected by a white sandy tongue of one kilometre which contrasts with the turquoise water of the ocean at low tide. Visit the old lighthouse which offers a magnificent view of the whole island, a small fishing village which stands out for its simplicity, and a very exotic flora. It is a favourite place for turtles to lay their eggs at night and an exceptional diving site that is still preserved in its natural state. Return to Nosy Be at the end of the day.
