    We leave the capital to join the RN7, on the way to Antsirabe. A winding road typical of the highlands, lined with small waterfalls, rice terraces as far as the eye can see whose colors are reminiscent of an ocean of greenery. We cross Ambatolampy the city of traditional foundries where it would be possible to visit a small factory of aluminum pots. The arrival in Antsirabe will be in the middle of the afternoon. Installation at the hotel, then discovery of the city in a pedicab with its lively market, its craftsmen working with zebu horns or recycling tin cans in small cars for our greatest joy.

    After a good breakfast, we take the road towards the Ranomafana National Park. We take the opportunity to make a stop in the small town of Ambositra, cradle of traditional crafts Zafimaniry to visit their workshops of precious wood carving and inlays. Inscribed as World Heritage by UNESCO in 2008, the Zafimaniry are the last possessers of this exceptional art. We continue to drive towards the primary forests of the Ranomafana National Park surrounded by mountainous massifs and a must stop on this journey to the South that extends over more than 40,000 ha in the Namorona Valley.

    We begin our visit of the Park. It is more than a hundred bird species, a dozen endemic lemurs in these places as well as various species of endangered amphibians and reptiles, butterflies, not to mention an equally varied flora of epiphyts orchids including some carnivous orchids or medicinal plants. We continue our journey to the city of Fianarantsoa, ​​literally "The city where the good is learned", the capital of Betsileo.     Start early in the morning to take the road and reach Ranohira. A small stop at 57km in the city of Ambalavao to visit an Antaimora paper workshop, an ancestral technique inherited from Arabian immigrants in the 30s made from Havoa bark fiber, a variety of mulberry trees. Visit of Anja village reserve in the foothills of the Andringitra massif which is home to some lemurs catta families. Then we take the direction of the Great South to Ihosy in the land of Bara, a zebus breeders. We leave the verdant landscape of the highlands for the semi-desert landscape of the plateau Horombe about forty km, a striking contrast. Arrival in Ranohira in the evening.

    Day dedicated to the discovery of the famous Isalo Park. Its massive and ruiniform canyons carved by erosion, rain and heat. A pedestrian walk along the paths marked out in the rock and the earth will be punctuated by encounters with exotic animals such as lemurs or snakes. You will be accompanied by a local guide in the heart of this lush vegetation that will make you discover its particularities. To rest after the walk, a little coolness with the possibility of bathing in the beautiful natural pools of the park in a clear water with in the bottom a small waterfall. Picnic lunch to plan to fully enjoy the day. Then return to the hotel to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery of a sunset in this exceptional place.

    Early departure for Tulear. Crossing the Ilalakaka, a village that was built within three months after the discovery of the largest Sapphire vein in the world. Along the way, there are savannah landscapes where we can see plants and trees with prehistorical look and the first baobabs with small stops in lively villages. Arrive in Tulear in the late morning then stop at the Auberge de la Table where we take the opportunity to visit the Arboretum which includes a large variety of endemic plants and shrubs. A short city tour after lunch, we take the road to rally Ifaty. We take a small sandy track, along the small villages along the coast and the mangroves. Arrival in Ifaty at the end of the day then dinner and overnight at the hotel.
